My god, the stars!

Hey! Look! Travis is posting on his blog! AHH!

The week from hell(ish) is over! I have taken my tests, finished my projects, and done my homework. So now I goof off and wait for the next batch! Oh what a wonderful life it is.

But I have a vendetta against whiny posts about how “Oh I’m so busy I just cant post!” because, well, I could be spending that post time getting un-busy.

But here I am. What am I up to?

1) Alumni
Working with McConnell on the Corporate Pavilion at Expo08. This year its a joint venture with the SSE Alumni Council. It should be a great partnership, once we’re all setup.
2) Website
So the Website and I just don’t get along much. I just don’t understand it, it just doesn’t understand me. Lack of communication ruins any relationship. So I’m looking at a host of different options while learning Django. The website in its current state is far from friendly to people who haven’t done a lot of development before. I mean that in that it takes a web development guru to fix some of the things I see wrong with it. Once its setup, it’ll be golden for future years due to its easy back end. But as I said, we’re trying to find a fix.
3) FLAC
Hooray Leadership Development! Game night continues to prosper beyond my goals, Orientations appear to be doing alot better than last year, and Welcome Weekend is on the horizon. Everything should fall into place up until August when I have to get creative again. Where and How do I ensure that things are in place? We have the people, a lot of incoming freshmen excited about SSE, but do we have the infrastructure? Hope so. If not, we’ll miss a lot of opportunities both for ourselves and for the incomings. Either way, SSE is on the up and up!
4) Dorfy!
Yes. Dorothy is in town for a month or so with PEPP…. Which would be a major reason why I’m so excitable all the time. Travis is in his happy place.

But there you go. I’m also doing a video “Introduction to Tablet PC’s” for English 303. Any suggestions?
